It’s the middle of July. The mercury in your thermometer blew past 90° days ago. It’s so humid your walls are sweating. And you’re packing up the family for what’s sure to be a fun-filled, albeit sweltering, camping trip to your favorite campground. You’re gearing up for a week of swimming, building sandcastles, and relaxing with a pitcher of cold lemonade and cookies in the shade. But not preheat-the-oven-to-350°-cookies, because the last thing you want to do is turn on the oven when it feels like you’re living in one! Instead, treat your family (and yourself!) to Camp No-Bake Cookies. Make delicious, mouth-watering cookies without having to crank up the oven! In just a few easy steps (stirring, melting, rolling), you’ll have a plate filled with scrumptious cookies that were a (cool!) breeze to make! Just pack up the ingredients, bring along a bowl, saucepan, spatula, and parchment paper, and you’re all set to knock your families socks off with these little delights. If you’re tent camping and you don’t have a cooktop or fridge, put your saucepan over the fire to melt the chocolate and cool the treats in a cooler on ice.
Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!
