What You’ll Need:
- 1 piece of bark from a tree of your choice
- 2 acorns
- 1 pumpkin seed
- Hot glue gun and glue -OR- craft glue if kids are helping
- A branch for decoration (optional)
- Acrylic craft spray (optional)
Directions:
- Carefully break away pieces of bark until the piece is in the desired shape of an owl.
- Pop off the tops of your acorns and set them aside.
- Using your hot glue gun, attach acorn caps for eyes and a pumpkin seed for the beak. If the kids want to do this step, use craft or school glue instead of hot glue.
- When completely dry, glue your owl onto a branch for decoration, or place anywhere you’d like for a fun and cute fall masterpiece!
- If you want to help preserve your cute owls, use an acrylic craft spray that is safe for wood and spray a good coating of it on both sides of your owl. This will help to prevent mold and decay from forming, as well as keep the bark from chipping when in storage!
